Why Come to Counseling?
Psychotherapy is the process of meeting with a therapist (or counselor) to talk about problematic thoughts, beliefs, behaviors, and feelings. Talking about these issues fosters insight into the problems experienced, increases self-awareness, and removes psychological barriers that prevent you from achieving your goals and having a sense of well-being.
What to Expect:
Intake Process:
When you call our office you will be greeted by one of our friendly front office staff. They will get some basic information from you and ask you a few questions to get a basic understanding as to what you want to be seen for. Our office staff will schedule you for an intake session with one of our therapists as soon as the schedules permit.
For children being seen: We ask that parents or guardians come to the first appointment without the child so that the therapist can speak to the parent or guardian about the issues at hand.
Fees, Insurances and Payment Methods:
Our standard session fee is $125.00; however we offer a sliding fee scale based on gross annual household income and number of individuals in the home. We ask for proof of income if using the sliding fee scale.
Insurances Accepted: Methods of Payment Accepted:
United Healthcare Cash or check
Fidelis Credit or Debit Card*
Tricare (*A convenience fee is charged when using this payment method.)
Martin’s Point

Adult sessions are based on 53 minutes. Sessions for children are 45 minutes in length. The number of sessions and frequency (weekly, every other week, etc.) will depend on your individual needs and will be discussed with you at your first session.
